Job Purpose:
The job incumbent will be responsible for the physical handling and management of company stocks, including mechanical, optical, and electronic, whether during receipt, warehousing, distribution, or production processes.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities:
- Receive all ordered stocks, whether mechanical, electronic, optical, or otherwise.
- Initial visual inspection of delivery packaging and contents.
- Completion of delivery notes and all other related documents and submission to the Supply Chain Planner.
- Timely completion and update of the goods receiving register.
- Reporting delivery errors/shortages to the Supply Chain Planner.
- Handover and follow-up of stocks for physical inspection by the relevant department.
- Placement of all received stocks in the correct warehouse/location.
- Picking and dispatch of finished goods according to completed delivery documentation.
- Execution of frequent stock counts.
- Investigation of stock discrepancies and correction thereof.
- Ensure the physical integrity and security of all listed stock components in various warehouses/stores.
- Report incidents involving stock and warehouses/stores infrastructure to the Supply Chain Planner.
- Physical control of all stocks and stores.
- Maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of all stores.
- Picking and issuing of all stocks allocated according to production orders.
- Receipt and storage of completed goods from the Production Team.
- Pre-emptive reporting of stock shortages.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12/Matric or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in stock management/stock control.
- Computer literate in MRP or Warehouse Management system.
- Previous experience in stock control in a production environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Recommendations:
- Advanced certificate in Warehouse Management/Stock Management.
- Work/stock control experience in a highly technological environment.
- Experience dealing with electronic and mechanical components.
- Experience working in a clean room.
