Job Purpose
An ISO 8 cleanroom must always be kept in a pristine and clean condition to avoid contamination of the components by particles invisible to the human eye. Cleaning in these environments requires extreme attention to detail and calls for the cleaning to be performed meticulously and with a calm and gentle approach. The candidate will also support the facilities manager with maintenance and upkeep of any facilities-related work, including but not limited to repairing/replacing/renovating broken/faulty/outdated tools, equipment and facilities as needed.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities
- Specialized cleaning of cleanroom labs & surrounding areas.
- Follow and maintain a strict cleaning schedule using specific procedures & instructions.
- Assist with general facility maintenance & upkeep.
Qualifications and Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Additional qualifications will be beneficial).
- Must have extreme attention to detail.
- Must be driven and able to follow detailed instructions.
- Must be able to work without supervision.
- Must be observant and able to recognize irregularities and report it.
- Must be thorough and efficient in completing tasks.
- Must be hands-on and able to work with general hand tools confidently.
- Must present themselves in a clean and tidy manner.
- Must be a non-smoker.
- Previous cleanroom environment working experience would be highly beneficial.
