What is an Earth Observation camera?
What is the difference between multispectral and hyperspectral EO cameras?
What CubeSat form factors are compatible with Simera Sense cameras?
Simera Sense cameras are designed for 1U, 1.5U, and 12U CubeSat form factors. xScape50 targets 3U platforms, xScape100 fits 6U and larger configurations, and xScape200 is designed for 16U and larger satellites requiring sub-2 m ground resolution.
What GSD can I achieve at 500 km orbit altitude?
Does Simera Sense provide image processing tools alongside the camera?
Yes. Simera Sense provides turnkey on-ground image processing tools including radiometric calibration, orthorectification, and band registration. For on-board data and image processing we work with a range of partners with proven mission success.
What is flight heritage and why does it matter for an EO payload?
What is the difference between xScape50, xScape100, and xScape200?
The three xScape families differ primarily in form factor, aperture, and resulting ground resolution. xScape50 is a 1U compact camera optimised for wide-area coverage. xScape100 is a 1.5U system offering a balance of resolution and swath. xScape200 is a high-performance 12U system achieving sub-2 m GSD from a nanosatellite. xScape50 and xScape100 are available in RGB (TriScape), multispectral (MultiScape), or hyperspectral (HyperScape) variants, xScape200 is available in RGB (TriScape) or multispectral (MultiScape).
